Jonathan Ross acted as Head Somm at Eleven Madison Park starting in 2012 before moving to Australia to join the internationally lauded Rockpool Group and secure his Master Sommelier certification. While clearly no stranger to the likes of Grand Cru Burgundy and First Growth Bordeaux, he became infatuated with the unsung potential of Aussie wines, driving him and his wife, Jane Lopes, to write “the definitive modern guide to Australian wine”: How To Drink Australian. All this to say, in the parlance of the Aussies, “we’ve got a f*cking legend in the house.”
